Ancestors of Mary Deans. Saltcoats, Ayrshire, Scotland. Mary's father was James Thomson Deans born on 16th January 1908 in Kilwinning, Ayrshire. Jimmy worked all his working life at the local ICI Nobel Explosives Factory. Jimmy was married to Mary Conn born on the 24th April 1911 in Stevenston Ayrshire. Jimmy's parents were John Deans born 10th November 1870 in Kilwinning and Mary Thomson born 30th March 1876 in Kilwinning. John was a Foundry Worker. They were married on the 20th August 1897 in the Burns Tavern, Kilwinning. John was the son of a Mary Deans, who was born on the 9th June 1856 in Kilwinning. Mary's parents were John Deans born on 26th January 1834 in Kilwinning, and Mary Gibson born about 1835, location unknown. They were married on the 6th June 1856 in Kilwinning.

I am trying to find addittional in on my mothers family tree, her name was Betty Deans , died 1989 and her parents were Andrew Deans and Janet Black Howat ,died 12/4/56,and 16/5/22 respectively buried kilwinning bridgend cemetery plot E125 along with my grandmothers parents Ephraim G Howat and Philippa Jenkins died 4/8/38 and 15/8/37 respectively I have little info on the generations before for both those families ,except that Andrew Deans father was another Andrew Deans married Elizabeth Gibb 6/6/1873,no dates of birth or death ,any assistance with any additional info on these 2 families I would be grateful Ian Andrew Whitfield Ian Whitfield iwhitfield@bigpond.com |
