 First Generation   

          1.  John Wilson, son of Gabriel Wilson and Agnes Boyd , was born in Abbey Parish, Paisley, Renfrewshire 22 November 1717.   He married Euphan Kelso in Stevenston, Ayr, 1 May 1742.   He was christened in Abbey Parish, Paisley, Renfrewshire, 8 Decenber 1717.  

          John Wilson and Euphan Kelso had the following children:  

                 2     i.     Agnes Wilson was born in Ardrossan, Ayr About 1745.  She was christened in Ardrossan, Ayr, 18 December 1745.

    +          3     ii.     Jane Wilson was born About 1746.

                 4     iii.     Gabriel Wilson was born in Stevenston, Ayr 1 August 1748.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 7 August 1748.

                 5     iv.     Mary Wilson was born in Stevenston, Ayr 8 March 1750.  She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 10 March 1750.

                 6     v.     Robert Wilson was born in Stevenston, Ayr 20 August 1753.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 26 August 1753.  

 Second Generation  

          3.  Jane Wilson  was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1746.    She married Nathaniel Banks in Stevenston, Ayr, 27 July 1775.  Nathaniel was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1749.   She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, I September 1746.  

          Jane Wilson and Nathaniel Banks had the following children:  

                 7     i.     James Banks was born in Stevenston, Ayr 17 July 1776.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 21 July1776.

    +          8     ii.     Janet Banks was born 12 September 1778.

                 9     iii.     Jean Banks was born in Stevenston, Ayr 18 August 1781.  Jean died 1853 at 71 years of age.  She married William Wilson .

               10     iv.     Thomas Banks was born in Stevenston, Ayr 12 April 1784.  He married Margaret Ritchie 1808.   He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 18 April 1784.

               11     v.     Sarah Banks was born in Stevenston, Ayr 15 November 1786.  Sarah died 1822 at 35 years of age.  She married Robert Kelly 1803.   She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 19 November 1786.  

 Third Generation  

          8.  Janet Banks   was born in Stevenston, Ayr 12 September 1778.   She married Findlay Ross in Stevenston, Ayr, 15 January 1803.  Findlay was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1777.   She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 12 September 1778.  

          Janet Banks and Findlay Ross had the following children:  

               12     i.     Janet Banks .  She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 9 February 1795.

               13     ii.     Jane Ross was born in Stevenston, Ayr 14 November 1803.  She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 19 November 1803.

    +        14     iii.     William Ross was born 19 June 1805.

    +        15     iv.     Nathaniel Ross was born 21 May 1808.

    +        16     v.     Findlay Ross was born 17 March 1810.

               17     vi.     James Ross was born in Stevenston, Ayr 22 June 1812.  He married Margaret Marshall .   He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 5 July 1812.

               18     vii.     Margaret Ross was born in Stevenston, Ayr 6 October 1814.  Margaret died 1817 at 2 years of age.  She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 9 October 1814.

               19     viii.     Thomas Ross was born in Stevenston, Ayr 7 February 1817.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 16 February 1817.

    +        20     ix.     Margaret McDonald Ross was born 20 November 1820. 

 Fourth Generation  

          14.  William Ross  was born in Stevenston, Ayr 19 June 1805.  William died 1861 at 56 years of age.   He married twice.  He married Ann Cunningham Thomson .  He married Margaret Reid 1845.  

          William Ross and Ann Cunningham Thomson had the following children:  

               21     i.     Janet Ross was born About 1826.

               22     ii.     Jean Ross was born About 1828.

               23     iii.     Catherine Thompson Ross was born 1834.  She married Samuel Bell .

               24     iv.     John Ross was born About 1837.  He married Catherine Jack .

               25     v.     Ann Ross was born About 1838.   

          15.  Nathaniel Ross   was born in Stevenston, Ayr 21 May 1808.  Nathaniel died 1869 at 61 years of age.   He married twice.  He married Janet Frazer 15 June 1833.  He married Catherine Russell in Stevenston, Ayr, 1855.   He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 22 May 1808.  

          Nathaniel Ross and Janet Frazer had the following children:  

               26     i.     Janet Ross was born About 1836.  She married twice.  She married William Glauchlan in Stevenston, Ayr, 17 April 1857.  She married Robert McDonald in Stevenston, Ayr, 8 May 1874.

               27     ii.     Findlay Ross was born About 1839.    

          Nathaniel Ross and Catherine Russell had the following child:  

               28     iii.     Catherine Ross was born 1856.   

          16.  Findlay Ross  was born in Stevenston, Ayr 17 March 1810.  Findlay died 1869 at 59 years of age.   He married Mary McIntyre 12 June 1835.   He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 18 March 1810.  

          Findlay Ross and Mary McIntyre had the following children:  

               29     i.     Janet Ross was born About 1835.  She married William Hopkin in Stevenston, Ayr, 21 August 1861.

               30     ii.     Findlay Ross was born About 1841.  He married Ann Cameron in Stevenston, Ayr, 21 December 1866.

               31     iii.     John Ross was born 1844.

               32     iv.     William Ross was born 1847.  William died 1859 at 12 years of age.

               33     v.     Charles Ross was born About 1850.

               34     vi.     Nathanial Ross was born about 1856.  Nathanial died About 1858.   

          20.  Margaret McDonald Ross   was born in Stevenston, Ayr 20 November 1820.  Margaret died 24 March 1896 in Courthill St., Dalry, Ayr, at 75 years of age.    She married Alexander Kilpatrick in Stevenston, Ayr, 14 January 1843.  Alexander was born in Stevenston, Ayr 7 February 1817.  Alexander was the son of William Kilpatrick and Cecile Jeffray .  Alexander died 25 May 1869 in Mossend, Kilbirnie, Ayr, at 52 years of age.  Alexander was a collier.  She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 3 December 1820.  

          Margaret McDonald Ross and Alexander Kilpatrick had the following children:  

    +        35     i.     Finlay Kilpatrick was born 1844.

               36     ii.     William Kilpatrick was born in Dalry, Ayr 26 February 1856.  William died 1856 at less than one year of age.

               37     iii.     Alexander Kilpatrick was born in Dalry, Ayr 4 February 1857.  Alexander died 12 April 1857 in Dalry, Ayr, at less than one year of age.

               38     iv.     Margaret Kilpatrick was born in Dalry, Ayr 13 May 1860.  Margaret died 1861 at 1 year of age.

               39     v.     Thomas Kilpatrick was born in Dalry, Ayr 30 April 1862.  Thomas died 1863 at 1 year of age.  

 Fifth Generation  

          35.  Finlay Kilpatrick  was born in Stevenston, Ayr 1844.  Finlay died 29 September 1906 in Hurlford, Ayr, at 62 years of age.            He married Janet Templeton in Station sq.,Stevenston, Ayr, 17 July 1868.  Janet was born in Stevenston, Ayr 1838.  Janet was the daughter of John Templeton and Janet White .  She married Thomas Kilpatrick in Stevenston, Ayr, 7 June 1861.  Janet died 21 September 1912 in Pollockshaws, Eastwood, Renfrew, at 74 years of age.  Janet was a widow when she married Findlay Kilpatrick.  He was listed as head of household in the 1891 census in 52 Blacklochside, Slammanan.  Findlay was a coal miner.  

          Finlay Kilpatrick and Janet Templeton had the following children:  

               40     i.     Alexander Kilpatrick was born in Stevenston, Ayr 19 July 1868.

               41     ii.     Janet Kilpatrick was born in Crofthead, SchoolRows, Whitburn, W.Lothin 18 December 1870.  Janet died 9 January 1873 at 2 years of age.

    +        42     iii.     Janet Kilpatrick was born 27 February 1874.

               43     iv.     Margaret Kilpatrick was born in Limerigg, Slamannan, Stirling 21 June 1876.  Margaret died 18 September 1929 in New Crookston, Barrhead and Levern, at 53 years of age.  She married William Lees in Hayfiled Terrace, Longriggend by Airdrie, 30 December 1898.

               44     v.     Finlay Kilpatrick was born in Limerigg, Slamannan, Stirling 22 March 1879.  Finlay died 3 March 1951 in Ayr, at 71 years of age.  He married Annie Somerville in Prestwick, Ayr, 7 June 1911.  In the 1891 census Findlay was the only child still living at home, his elder brothers and sisters had moved on.
